We want you to feel comfortable the moment you walk through the door. One of our coaches will give you a tour of the facility, then we’ll sit down with you and talk about your goals.

Starting is easy. We have a specific program designed for anyone new to CrossFit. Our CrossFit Start Up program consists of two Personal Coaching sessions with one of our experienced coaches.

We offer a visible area where children can hang out while their parents are in class. Children are not permitted on the training floor at any time unless participating in a class or other program for which they’re registered.

We offer a 1 week free trial to try us out and we encourage anyone new to CrossFit to go through our CrossFit Start Up Program before attending our group classes.

One of the great things about CrossFit is that every workout can be adapted to suit each individual’s current capabilities and fitness level. The CrossFit community includes people from literally every walk of life: stay-at-home parents, elite athletes, students, CEOs, members of the armed services, firefighters, you name it. CrossFit bodies – our bodies – come in every imaginable size, shape and age. And yet, our workouts are designed for anyone to do them. During class everyone does the same workout, but that workout is modified according to each individual’s needs in order to ensure that they achieve the workout’s intent. You do not need to get in shape before starting at CrossFit Viento, we meet you at your current level of fitness and will work with you to achieve your goals.

The workout of the day (WOD) is written to challenge the fittest in our community. The workout is then modified (scaled) for most members throughout the day according to their specific fitness and skill levels. We reduce the load (weight), lower the repetitions, rounds, and distances to fit your abilities while still giving you the challenge intended by the workout’s design. Most members will scale most workouts. It’s this adaptability that makes CrossFit infinitely applicable to people of all fitness and skill levels. Scaling is not failing – it’s what you’re supposed to do.

We offer classes seven days a week but that doesn’t mean you should train everyday. If you’re just starting we recommend three days per week. We understand that life is busy, but less than three days is unlikely to get you the results you’re looking for. The increased energy you’ll feel from doing CrossFit three days per week will enable you to build to four or five days per week as your fitness and schedule allow. Once you’re up to five days per week we recommend building in one or two active recovery days instead of adding more classes. Your long-term health and fitness are our top priority.  Just as training less than three days per week won’t be enough to get and keep you fit, training more than five days per week is likely to have diminishing returns.

Lifting weights as part of our regular CrossFit classes will not bulk you up. What it will do is increase muscle density, making you stronger, and boost your metabolism, allowing you to burn more calories. Along with a healthy diet this will help you achieve the lean, fit look we’re all after. If you do want to get more muscular we can help with that too, but that will involve a significant amount of additional weight training outside of regular CrossFit classes.

Our members love CrossFit for lots of reasons. The workouts are different everyday which keeps things interesting and helps prevent overuse injuries. It’s also just way more fun and effective to train with other people in a supported, small group environment. We demonstrate each movement before the workout begins and incorporate mobility work to assist with better recovery following the workout. We also have a lot of fun, in and out of the gym. The CrossFit Viento community is what really keeps people coming back.

CrossFit is for EVERYONE! The majority of CrossFitters are everyday people who simply want to look and feel better and enjoy the many health benefits of this type of program. All of our workouts can be adapted to fit your individual needs.

CrossFit can improve all athletes. Our goal is to make you a complete athlete by targeting all physical skills: cardio-respiratory, endurance, stamina, strength, speed, power, coordination, accuracy, agility, mobility, and balance. The most important benefit of CrossFit for athletes is the use of functional movements, not unnatural abstractions with no applicability to athletic movement. We’re sure you’ll experience more success in your sport as you supplement your training with CrossFit. Improved strength and fitness will help you avoid injury. CrossFit will also improve your mental toughness, giving you an advantage over your competitors when it’s time to enter the pain cave. We can help you eat for performance, get stronger, be more explosive, move faster, and increase flexibility and mental toughness to become a more complete athlete. You will kite…so hard.

Yes! We use Wodify, an amazing software tool designed to track all of our member’s progress. Wodify offers performance tracking for daily workout results, individual strength gains, nutrition logging, personal records, and benchmark workout times. It will remember your previous results and report them back to you upon your next check-in. If today’s workout has a movement you’ve done previously, when you check in and wave the mouse over your name, the screen will remind you of what you did previously giving you an immediate idea of what you are capable of and a daily goal to meet and beat. Wodify provides an easy to use app to find everything you need for your daily workout and long term progress.

Wodify makes it easy to tell us you’re coming to class. Advance sign up allows us to manage our coach-to-student ratio to provide a safe learning and workout environment and the best possible coaching for each member. When we know who is signed up, our coaching staff can plan and modify the workout as needed to keep the classes running smoothly and make the most of your valuable time.

We know you have a lot of choices when it comes to how and where to workout. What’s best? A treadmill at home? The gym down the street that’s $50 per month?

We’d actually encourage you to ask some different questions. What are your goals? What kind of support do you need to achieve them? What’s that kind of support worth to you? We offer personalized attention from professional coaches and the accountability that comes from being part of a community, not just a body in a big gym doing their own thing near a bunch of other people doing their own thing.

What we offer is not your typical gym experience. Our rates are higher than other gyms but the results you’ll achieve with us are many times higher still. Our CrossFit classes provide a small group coaching experience much closer to personal training than anything you’ll find at a traditional gym or even at many other CrossFit gyms. Our community will support and encourage you and take your success as seriously as they do their own. You just can’t put a price on that.

We love our pets and we’d probably love yours too, but in consideration of the comfort and safety of all members we have a strict “no pets” policy in the gym.

Memberships: You can cancel your membership at any time. We simply ask you to email us at info@crossfitviento.com at least two weeks prior to your auto-renewal date.

Personal Coaching: Personal Coaching appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance by contacting your coach directly. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged for the missed appointment.

Class Reservations: Class reservations should be cancelled in Wodify at least eight hours prior to the class start time in order to free up the spot for other members.

Open gym times are available to all our members. These sessions are for you to further develop skills, make up a previous workout, or to do additional strength or conditioning work. We will have a coach on hand to help if needed. Members can do open gym and a group class in the same day if they choose.

CrossFit is one of the most effective training methods for general fitness and doing CrossFit correctly will actually help you avoid injury. In Our CrossFit Start Up Program we teach you the proper technique for functional movements, and our coaches will continue to review proper technique in every class. Safety is a top priority and is never sacrificed to complete a workout. Our coaches know how to help you progress at a healthy pace to build your strength and fitness and avoid injury.
